Directors, Parents and Students:

Music In The Park is proud to center our purpose and beliefs on the idea that music is an important component towards the development of well-rounded youth.  The purpose of the MITP MUSIC FESTIVAL is to create a musical experience that is unlike the traditional classroom setting.

We invite Atlanta’s middle/high school bands and orchestras to perform for crowds of 1500 or more.  We also want you to stay and be a part of the “grand finale act”.  Your full band/orchestra will have the opportunity to sit side-by-side with world-class musicians and perform music that will be fun, challenging and engaging with our MITP ORCHESTRA.  Directors, we invite you and your students to help make this event the biggest event of Fall, 2019!

Jazz bands, concert bands, orchestras and other acts can perform at various time slots on all three days.   Feel free to perform music of your choosing.  Traditional and non-traditional music is welcome.

Please complete the Ensemble Participation Form below or contact STRINGMOBMITP@HOTMAIL.COM for questions and more information.

The Finale Orchestra will be created of all participating bands & orchestras! Music will be sent upon registration.  It’s going to be fun & funky!   The MITP ORCHESTRA finale will begin at 5:00pm.

Leading up to the big day, the Music In The Park team will be touring schools to help rehearse bands for the finale.  Let us know what time your band meets and stay tuned for details about our rehearsals for the MITP ORCHESTRA.

All performances and rehearsals will take place centered around Gallery 992, located at Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW (art center) and Howell Park in West End Atlanta.
